On November 8, 2012, Former Secretary of State for International Development Rt Hon Andrew Mitchell MP was questioned by the International Development Committee of the British Parliament's House of Commons on his decision to disburse budget support to the Government of Rwanda and subsequently following allegations about the Rwandan Government's role in the conflict in eastern Democratic Republic the Congo, and the decision of other donors who withdrew budget support not to reinstate it.
